I highly recommend this book for anyone's fly fishing library. The watercolor illustrations are excellent, framing quality if you desire to cut the illustrations out. The short explanations are informative and provide a detailed history of how the trout came to be in certain rivers. The book complements well with Robert Behneke's book "About /5(42). The book is geared for trophy trout, but they offer advice on how NOT to catch smaller fish (under 5 pounds). This information is great, as I enjoy just fishing and can use this to fish with for “what is available that day.” If you are from LA area, they do name a few spots.
